How to Host the Ultimate Halloween Party!

Throwing the ultimate Halloween party can be a lofty goal. Halloween is only a few days away, but if you are looking for some fun, last minute party planning ideas, look no further. Enjoy some party tips on us.

Have a costume party. Ask guests to dress up. There are a variety of amazing costumes to choose from. 1950’s costumes are a great option. 1950’s costumes are comfortable and fun. You can also do couple-themed costume options, or have a general costume party where guests can choose what they want to wear.

Remember to throw out invitations. Since this is so last minute your best option will be through an e-mail or electronic invitation. Electronic invitations, or e-vites, give you a lot of fun options that your guests will appreciate. It is also an easy way for guests to RSVP.

Decorate your home with Halloween themed decorations. Draw tombstones on cardboard and put them up in your backyard. Hang spider webs across the room. There are plenty of decorations in stores now that you can choose from.

Plan fun activities if you are hosting a party with children. Children will get bored quickly with out them. A good way to do this is by playing average games, but adding a “Halloween” twist to it.

Put together a haunted house for school-aged children. Have them crawl through obstacles in the dark, and play scary music in the background. Family members or friends can help out with this by grabbing out at them randomly through out the course.

Food is a very important aspect of Halloween parties. If you decided to have a 1950’s costume party serve the classic burger and fries, but substitute the burger for “worms on a bun”.  Cut up hot dogs into thin slices and boil or microwave slices until they begin to curl. Coat hot dogs in ketchup or BBQ sauce, and serve on hamburger buns with French fries.

Drinks are also fun. Try out this fun glow in the dark drink idea. Or, if you have younger children, you can add ice and different food coloring to clear cups, and when you pour in a light-colored drink the drink will “magically” turn a certain color before their eyes. This is a big hit for youngsters.
